A Safe Place for Big Feelings

Supporting children and families with compassion, connection and the healing power of play.

Hi, I'm Ally, a qualified Play Therapist based in Kinsale. Before becoming a play therapist, I worked in management within early years and after-school settings, where I developed a real passion for supporting children's emotional well-being and helping services create positive, nurturing environments.
I'm especially passionate about sensory play and believe that every child deserves a safe space where they can feel accepted, understood and free to be themselves. Through play therapy, I support children in expressing emotions, building confidence and working through challenges in a way that feels natural to them.
I offer individual play therapy sessions in the Kinsale area and strive to create a warm, welcoming space where children and families feel supported from the very beginning.

A Burrow of Safety

People often ask where the name The Little Burrow came from. During my play therapy training, I found myself naturally drawn to using rabbits in the sand tray. Over time, they became a symbol of the kind of space I wanted to create for children—a place where they could feel safe, protected and accepted, just as a burrow provides shelter and security.

A burrow is a place of comfort, where little ones can retreat, rest and feel secure before venturing back into the world. That is exactly what I hope to offer every child who walks through my door—a warm, nurturing space where they can explore their thoughts and feelings, build confidence, and simply be themselves.

The Little Burrow represents safety, growth and hope—a gentle reminder that every child deserves somewhere they feel truly seen, heard and supported.
